Hi Guys I'm building a new i7 920 system and wanted your ideas on a few things.

Here is a list of what I'm aiming for:

199USD - Intel i7 920 D0 CPU - http://www.microcenter.com/single_ [...] id=0302727
229USD - EVGA X58 SLI LE MB - http://www.microcenter.com/single_ [...] id=0312963
135CAD - MSI Radeon 4870 - http://www.canadacomputers.com/ind [...] DC.243.272
89USD - 1TB Hard Drive - http://www.microcenter.com/single_ [...] id=0281709
35CAD - OCZ StealthXStream 500W PSU - http://www.canadacomputers.com/ind [...] id=PSU.731
129CAD - 6GB OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Ram - http://www.canadacomputers.com/ind [...] AM.346.539
60USD - Antec 300 Case - http://www.microcenter.com/single_ [...] id=0283272
40USD - Mugen 2 Universal CPU Cooler - http://www.microcenter.com/single_ [...] id=0304797
25USD - Samsung DVD Burner - http://www.microcenter.com/single_ [...] id=0293049

Now here comes my dilemma.

Some of these are parts from Micro Center and others are right around where I live in Toronto Canada. I'm wondering about is how can I possibly get some of these prices from Micro Center price matched at a store in Buffalo or Rochester NY which are a 2 or 3 hour drive from here unlike the 8 hours it would take to get to the nearest Micro Center location. I'm sure this will help many of us Canadian guys on here from Toronto as some of us would love to buy at American prices and don't mind the drive because the girlfriends always want to go on a shopping trip to the states. Does anyone possibly know of a store in these cities that can PM Micro Center?

I would love to hear any feedback regarding the system or my dilemma.

im in toronto too.

you do know that if you get caught at the borders (coming back) having a over budget, you will have to pay taxes. the budget depends on the number of hours you are in the US

theres computer stores in buffalo, just google, i remember seeing one in a shopping mall, cant remember correctly. its hard to pricematch micro's

fix your motherboard link.
you need a better power supply

also try this site www.directcanada.com or www.ncix.com to pricematch

post in this format would be easier for people to help you

overshocks, thanks.

What card would you suggest around that price and why the better PSU? How many Watts do you think I'll need to power this system? 750?

I'm also deliberating ordering the whole thing from directcanada and save the PST. All in all I think it may cost me about $150 more than it would have in the US however would spare the hassles of going to get it.
