currently running a 212 evo, with an h100 will I be able to hit 5ghz? And will this cooler fit in a cm storm scout? Or should I go with the h80.

More about : hit 5ghz h100

The H100 can give you the headroom for overclock the CPU at 5GHz but keep in mind that those 5GHz depends of CPU and mobo.

well the mobo allows me to, I was just wondering if I could hit 5ghz on my 2600k with good temps

The H100 is a solid sealed LCS, so, I think that you won't have any problems there.

Thanks! But do you know if this radiator will fit in a cm storm scout?

You can see this thread, http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/266715-28-water-cooli... some good tips some use your case and watercooling.

The case is oriented to other segment and not watercooling, so, it's a little difficult fit a radiator inside but not impossible.

Seems kind of hard to do :(  I think I will just get a h80 for my system. Im pretty sure it will be a reasonable upgrade form my current hyper 212 evo.

You always can install the radiator outside of the case or get a better aircooler like NH-D14 or thermalright archon or silver arrow.

You can hit 5.0 Ghz easily enough w/ air cooling.

It's almost ironic that coolers like [the Thermalright Silver Arrow] are becoming available just as processors transition to designs that may ultimately render them unnecessary; even overclocked to 5GHz, an Intel Sandy Bridge 2600K doesn't need anywhere near this level of cooling.

I have an H100 on a corsair obsidian 800D case. I must warn you that it is VERY loud because you hang it on the top of the case (and therefore you can hear the fans much more). On the "low" setting, however, it is very silent.

Personally I OC'ed my i7 930 (2.8ghz stock) to 4Ghz with 1.375v and the stress test temps to max 83degrees in a 20-24degrees room, so yeah it has alooot of cooling power. Also I bought an aftermarket thermal paste (IC diamond) to improve the contact, but i'm not sure if there was any improvement cause I installed it right from the first time.

Never had an H80 but i guess it can also do the job, maybe not at 5Ghz though.
