Hi all - building this system for a friend and would like some feedback on the choices so far......budget was approximately £900.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 4 x 2.83Ghz 12Mb Cache 1333 FSB Quad Core

Novatech GeForce GTX260 Sonic SLI 896MB DDR3 HDMI/Dual DVI PCI-Express

OCZ StealthXStream 700w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Power Supply

Asus P5QD Turbo Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit

Samsung Spin Point F1 SATAII 1TB 32Mb Cache Hard Drive <8.9ms 7200rpm

All this plus the obvious peripherals and dual screens.

Would love some feedback on whether this is a good combo of gear or not. Going to order tomorrow morning so comments asap on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all x

I would suggest an Intel i5 build, the pricing is the same as that dead-end LGA775 quad cores.

That hard drive is old and slow, this is the much newer version;

Everything else is solid, may want to look into the ATI HD4890 instead, its faster and not much more than that GTX260.

If you want to crossfire/SLI down the road, you will need a different board, and a stronger power supply, consider the Corsair 750TX.

Edit: You will need this CPU cooler instead;
