Cable to connect CPU fan to motherboard

Hi all
I am going to buy the following CPU: PENTIUM 3 PROCESSOR 850 MHZ SL4KH and it does not seem to come with a cable to connect the cpu fan to the motherboard. My motherboard is an old SE440bx in a dell. What cable do I need to buy? Spec and a link to where I can buy would be really appreciated.

Are you sure the cpu has a fan? If not go to ebay and type "pentium III fan" under computers and networking category. A seller has a 550 heatsink with fan and connector for $7.95 with free shiping. I can't post a link. Sorry. Be sure your motherboard has a cpu fan port somewhere near the cpu. And a 550 heatsink/fan should also work with the 850. These are low heat cpus.

What cable do you need? The heatsink comes with a fan and 3 pin connector. You shouldn't need a cable or adapter to use it. Most boards have a working fan port to plug the fan into.

Well, to be honest I am not sure.

Don't I need to plug a cable from the male 3 pin socket on the fan of the processor to the 3 pin male connector on the motherboard to power it?

This looks like what I need. Only problem is that I am in the UK and I don't want to pay USD30 shipping for something that costs less than a buck! Googling UK sites and no luck at the moment.
Any idea why the CPU does not come with a cable in the 1st place? Seems odd.

It probably came with one. If it is not in the package with the cpu then someone took it out more thatn likely.

One thought, you could get a couple of cheap extensions and just splice the two ends to gether and make one cable that would fit.
