I have many bits of un-rendered squares all around the screen if you ever use overdrive, which make the graphics abnormal.

We call those "artifacts." And that happens when you OC your card too far. Overdrive is pushing the card beyond where it should be.

It, or you, is setting the clockspeeds too high.
From what I have seen the HD5870 is a poor overclocker so you need to use the manual sliders to set the clockspeeds and only increase them a little at at a time, testing (use Furmark) after each change.

refer to ATI overdrive , not other third party overclockers.

Is auto-tune fine enough? I got 890mhz clock speed (850-900) and 1290mhz memory speed (1200-1300).

Any stable suggestion?

Start to back them down a bit and test. Auto-Tune can overdo it sometimes.
