how can i fix this? every time i try to play a game my pc freezes and shuts down?

Whats the rest of the specs on the system, the card is physically in crossfire, it cant be undone, many games wont use the second GPU on the card but it shouldnt cause the games to crash out, i think your issue is likely somewhere else.
