Hello all, this is my current setup:
gigabyte ga-p35-ds3l mobo
core 2 duo e4500 2.2 ghz
his radeon hd 4890
4gb ddr2 800
corsair 750tx psu
I recently replaced my 8800gt with the 4890, and i've noticed a performance increase but not as much as id like because my core 2 duo is probably bottlenecking it. I'm planning on either getting a Q9550 and keeping my current hardware, or going to an i5 or amd setup. just buying a new cpu would obviously be cheaper even though the price is still gouged on the q9550. should I just shell out the money for a new cpu/mobo/ram now and be set for the next few years? any advice is appreciated.
