APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: First/second week of October

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, gaming, gaming, internet.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Monitor, Keyboard/mouse, Speakers, DVD/CD/Floppy Drive, OS.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Canada

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: ncix.com!

PARTS PREFERENCES: None. Intel vs. AMD / NVidia vs. ATI is totally up in the air.

OVERCLOCKING: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1680x1050 on my Syncmaster 226BW

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: First time build! Looking to spend less than $1000 total including tax and shipping.. I will use price matching to newegg.ca or directcanada.com, etc.

I'd like maybe 2 500GB HDD's for lots of storage.

I've been reading a lot of new builds but there are too many opinions to keep up with :) I need a new PC because my current rig can't play many new games even on the lowest settings.. I'm itching to play Crysis, COD5, FEAR2, Fallout 3 and Mass Effect with high quality settings.. as long as this is doable I'm a very happy camper! Thanks all!

EDIT: So I guess the ATI 5800's come out tomorrow.. I don't know how much that will affect me. Also I wouldn't be against SLi or Crossfire, I'm just ignorant in that department.. trying to read up on it now :)
