I have a 5870 hooked up to my 42 inch lcd tv using hdmi. I belive there is a where to make the card transmit the sound using the hdmi cable so that i can hear the sound come out the tv but i have no idea how to activate it. Any one know how?

Go to control panel, sound, and set hdmi out (may say high definition audio device) as your default. Restart computer and you're set.
