PC hangs up on MB spash screen (not OS)

I built this PC about 4 months ago. I recently re-imaged to a SSD as my primary boot drive. I don't think that has anything to do with this but it seems when I boot up when I get to the splash screen of my Gigabyte P55-UD3R it hangs there for about 2-3 times longer then it used to. This bothers me since the whole reason I upgraded to a SSD is so my boot times (among other things) would faster.

What could cause?

I really haven't over clocked but I have run the Gigabyte "Easy Tune" utility to bump up my speed a bit. Also I have re-set the bios back to default thinking maybe that using the easy tune may have screwed something up.

Thanks in advance.

Turn off the splash screen...

I don't show a P55-UDR3 MOBO or manual - on the assumption it's actually GA-P55-UD3R, enter the BIOS with a <DEL>, go to the "Advanced BIOS Features" page, and disable "Full Screen LOGO Show"; <F10> to save and exit; on the reboot, you should be able to see the POST screen, to get some idea of where, exactly, it appears to be 'hanging'...
