I just installed my Maximus formula, and on boot up, the NB sits at about high 30's, during casual usage it sits at 49c. I am tempted to play Crysis a bit, but I am afraid of it getting too hot. R

My system set up is:
q9550 @ 2.83 (not OC'ed)
2x2gb corsair dominator running at 1066 (5-5-5-15 @ 2.1v)
EAH4870 1 gb
NZXT tempest crafted case (2 of my 140mm top fans do not work right now, 2 more are on their way)

What should be the normal voltage to be able to run the RAM fine? Right now my NB voltage is 1.36 on auto.

49c under stress is far from being a heat problem.

1.36NB voltage is on the low side. If Ocing the Q9550 1.45-1.5v applied to the NB is fine. Extreme Ocing may require more than 1.5v.

My current NB with Q9550 @ 3.2GHz. totally stable for months. System specs in 'My Configuration' link.
