i want to run a hybrid crossfire setup just because its a cheap way to upgrade, but i have no idea what the best choice is for my mb im running a amd 9850black with 4g 1066 ram unganged plesae advise lance.

I think the best card you can get to run hybrid xfire is the 4650... ??? but I wouldn't waste my time with such a low end card and "on board" graphics. A 4770 would probably pound the crap out of it.
Goto the manufacturers site and find what cards/card will work if you really want to do it this way.
