Can somebody recommend a place where I can get a system built for me for around $1500-$1600. I want a liquid cooled system, with blue and red lights. I would like a custom made window with a Denver Bronco logo on it. I would like it to be painted with the Bronco colors. I would like to have a Intel Core i7 920, EVGA X58 SLI LE mobo, atleast 6gb DDR3 memory, 1TB hdd, HD4870 X2, 950w power supply, SB Fi-Extreme, CoolerMaster HAF 932 Full Tower.

I doubt if you can have such a system built for $1500 - $1600.

i can buy all the components for around 1200 i just need a custom case.

Reply to rjbrunker

I also need a gpu water block for HD 4870. Any suggestions?

the water cooling alone will cost between $300-400 at least

Not necessarily!

no if you need a good watercooling it would cost you atleast 300 or 400 to cool atleast the cpu only without the graphic cards

A cheap water cooling system(not one of the enclosed systems that does no better than an air cooler) is 200-300, find a shop near you that works in acrylics and has the acid setup they need and get them to do the window for you, it will be cheaper than having a computer shop do it. You can paint the case yourself for far less than it would cost to have a computer shop do it.

You have high expectations but lack the budget to make them real, just running through basic prices in my head i came up with $1300 for the parts, and that is with crappy ram and PSU.

Oh really! I buy my components from tigerdirect.com and I put everything I need in the cart and it all came to around $1200 and thats with everything stated above except the water cooling system and custom case. What do you mean by enclosed system?

Reply to rjbrunker

This might be a long shot, but as far as a custom case goes, you could go here

http://www.mnpctech.com/

and send em an email. Really no clue how much they charge, but they do good work, as shown in the link below..

Take a look at the corsair H50 for an example. It performs no better than a good air cooler.

The thing im pretty sure you are saving on is the wrong thing to be saving on, what PSU did you select to power this system? The only 950 watt PSU i can find on tiger direct is a total POS, it failed its jonnyguru review miserably last year

XION Power Real 800W

Reply to rjbrunker

Oh, thats so much better, it even comes with a pretty little red switch screaming cheap old tech at you. Get an 80+ certified PSU so you know that is has passed 100% load testing.

A corsair 750TX will cost you slightly more but is a hell of a lot better than that XION and is better than anything from XION. It has high efficiency, good regulation, and good ripple suppression all while providing as much power as the xion even though its rated lower.

+1 i don't know what is the point in skimping on important parts to watercool the pc and if he watercooled he would be able to cool only the cpu with that budget i suggest you get a high end air cooler like thermalright extreme 1366,titan Fenrir, prolimatech megahelm and you would have a overall better system ;)

when you have no knowledge (im assuming) in watercooling dont do it, when you dont need watercooling dont do it. post in this format. it should answer some questions we have
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/ [...] ild-advice

stick with an air cooled system your budget is too tight, a good watercooling is at least $500 to me thats considered good.

My case come with a water cooling system. but i'm willing to pay for a better one.

Reply to rjbrunker

Well that case is just plain silly, a $150 case with a good ~$50 air cooler will run cooler and quieter, it also mounts the PSU strangely defeating the purpose of the 120mm fan on the base of the PSU. You are also giving up performance to get a fancy pants liquid cooling case instead of a 4890 which will actually do something useful.

You setup has a fair bit of room for improvement but first we need to know what you plan to use it for rather than just the parts you want in it.

Gaming, doing school work, watching movies.

Reply to rjbrunker

Then you will definitely benefit more from a 4890 than a liquid cooling system.

Is that card compatible with everything i want to put in my system. Can u recommend a air cooler?

How about for a case the cooler master HAF 932?

Also should i crossfire 2 4890s?

What is the best air cooler for overclocking a i7 core 920 to 4.0Ghz at least?

here is a good build which comes to ~1600$ with the best cpu cooler and 2 noctuca 1200 RPM fans to put on the cooler so that you will get the best overclock and best temperatures

Edit:you are overwhelmed because you want to overclock to atleast 4GHZ this is the best air cooler around with excellent fans but if i were you i wouldn't overclock more than 4GHZ because to overclock more than 4GHZ you will need extreme watercooling and not even a simple watercooling setup

Dont forget to combo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Comb [...] mbo.250841

Also i wouldnt get the 5870 for now, wait to see what the 5850 brings to the table, the 5870 did amazing in the review last night but if a 5850 can bring similar performance at a lower price point(around a GTX275) then it will definitely win my recommendation.

Reply to hunter315

none of the websites you gave me have the 5870. any other suggestions?

A 4890 would work well for now, but give the 58xx series a couple days at least and see how the 5850 fares, they got released last night, they were sold out within 20 minutes so its like the 4770 issue all over again, they will have brief moments of in stock but lots of out of stock times.

Reply to hunter315

I found this complete system, tell me what you think. If I get it I'll change the case and some other little things. but let me know.

I dont plan on buying right this second anyways. I'm broke until prolly Nov. or Dec. cuz thats when my refund from school comes in.

Reply to rjbrunker

ah well then stocks and prices should have normalized a bit by then, expect them to be about 10% less by november or december for holiday sales.

Reply to hunter315

Hopefully! Did you get a chance to look at the system I posted above. Tell me what you think.

Reply to rjbrunker

They tend to use cheaper slower memory and a cheaper power supply to keep costs down unfortunately, while it seems like a good price for an i7(and it is if you build it yourself) you get a lot of cheaper parts for them to still get a cut while having it at that price.

Reply to hunter315

so ur saying that i should just pay the extra money and build it myself.

Reply to rjbrunker

I just made a build using better quality parts than they would likely use and came out to less, it will not only perform better but run cooler as that case appears to have only 2 120mm fans, and an 800watt XION PSU(you can actually read the label if you zoom in. The ram has no heatspreaders so they are likely CL9 crucial sticks, anyway here is a build that will perform better in everything except gaming at high res where it will perform a tad bit worse due to the lower GPU but i doubt you would notice the difference.

And that was just my quick list of familiar parts, there are better deals out there on similar parts but that was just a quick list of stuff i didnt need to recheck specs on.
