Hello, I have a Toshiba Satellite L775. I purchased this laptop with the understanding that it had a 2.3ghz pocessor. It said so in the ad. 3 weeks after purchasing it I had to send it back to the factory because the time and date kept speeding up. I would have to keep resetting it. The factory replaced the whole motherboard. When I got the laptop back, I noticed that it seemed to be a little slower than before. I checked the processor speed by clicking on computer and selecting properties. It showed my procressor speed to be 1.40ghz. Did they install a slower processor or is that what it actually is? I have an AMD Quad core.

What processor is it? That 1.4Ghz is probably a downclocked speed to conserve power, push the processor with a stressful application and it should speed up.
