My next build plans.... Please update with your suggestions!

I've got a new computer set up in mind for the very near future. Now i've picked out parts over the past couple of days but would love some outside input! Please take a look and give me some feedback :)

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Need to have this ordered before the 30th.
BUDGET RANGE: Hopefully no more than 1500$ however not worried if I go over budget by a bit.

Gaming. I will be doing most of my video editing on my laptop however being able to render footage will also be valuable to me.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard/Mouse. Monitor. Soundcard. Graphics card - I will be using a 9800GTX until I replace it with the newer 5xxx series coming out shortly.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: is preferred. Though I will shop at and works as well.

PARTS PREFERENCES: I want the build to be i5/i7. Other than that, open to any and all suggestions.

OVERCLOCKING: Most likely yes. SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Doubtful.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I've got a relative idea of what i'm buying and will list it below, however i've not bought or built a computer in a few years so I am open to any and all suggestions. The only firm plan on my build is that I need it to last me through school and I imagine an i5/i7 is the best plan to accomplish this.

More about build plans update suggestions
  1. The Corsair 850HX is quite similar in quality to the Signature, but the price is much nicer:

The 5870 is probably within your budget... we should have more brands available in a few days as well as reviews:
It looks to be quite dominant, but of course we need reviews first.
  2. Right on with the power supply. I actually had no idea where to begin looking, so that helps.
As far as the graphics card goes, i'll most likely wait a bit until they've been out long enough to get some good reviews as you said as well. Thanks
