Hi Everyone,

I am a bit of a noob when it comes to coolers etc...

Using the stock fan of my computer, it runs extremely loudly and at 6,500 RPM when playing games or converting videos on my 1090t processor. Altough there is nothing wrong with it, I thought I'd treat myself to a new cooler since the noise is getting on my nerves.

I have no idea where to start as I am not sure which cooler will fit on my mobo. I can't seem to find the specs anywhere and I am not sure to replace the cooler and/or the heatsink, or if they are both connected?

I am sorry I may be asking obvious questions, but I am a confused man...

Had a look at the Sycthe Mugen 3 but it looks gigantic.
Also looking at a low profile Scythe Shuriken, which looks smaller, but the dimensions are still over 100m... Is 10cm+ big for a CPU / heatsink?

Thanks and sorry, in advance.

Jack

P.S: I've got a 750W PSU, if that makes a difference...

Pretty much any cooler will fit any motherboard. They all come with really complicated mounting brackets that have many different sets of holes. All CPU aftermarket CPU coolers are pretty big. There needs to be room in your case for them.

This one is really popular if you're overclocking.

This one is pretty good if you're short on space and is quieter than the first one.

Finally, if you want something pretty quiet go with this one.
