Keyboard malfunction

i think my keyboard is good,, but sometimes, it does'nt working, but when i unplug and plug it, it work again,, i use ps2 port keyboard and plug in to my motherboard, at first i thougt its my board malfunctioning,, is it possible or just may keyboard which is defective? thank you very much

Check the keyboard and other drivers in the device manager under "system" in windows control panel. You could have a conflict somewhere. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse ($5 after rebate at frys on black friday). I recommend a wireless if you decide to replace it.
