Connecting case fans directly to power supply?

I'm currently using an 850w coolermaster modular powersupply. Would that force all my fans to run at 100% all the time?

yes if you connect it directly to molex, unless its like a corsair h100 cooler and has its own fan controller

Yes the fans will run at 100% all time, you can connect your fans to the motherboard it has 3 pin connectors and control then from BIOS . If you have to many fans buy a fancontroller , is the best solution.

Unless you have something like this, yes.....tho ya not connecting fans to PSU then.

I'm onboard with the fan controller idea- this would at least give you control to speed the fans up and down as you want. Otherwise, just go straight to the molex...skip the built-in 'controller' on the H100- it's mediocre at best.
