I've been using a passworded admin account for a while, and there has been no problem. Recently I created a new, secondary account with limited privileges (also passworded). I lock the machine (windows key + L) every time I leave the desk, but since creating the second account, I sometimes have issues with unlocking the accounts. It gives an incorrect password error, and the only way to sort it out is to restart the computer. That is quite an issue because it means work lost if anything happens to be open.

Since this has only started happening after the creation of the secondary account, it seems that may be the cause. Can anyone confirm, or have a solution?

I think your problem is elsewhere. I've had a 6+ passworded accounts on XP and never ran into this issue. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for you.

I also lock my screen when away from my computer.
