1) - See if you can startup in safe mode to correct problem.

2) - Boot from Windows CD - Repair Install the OS.

Apparently, I installed a new virus checker without removing the
first and locked the system.. Upon removing the latest one and old
programs, got system to work again..thanks for your help...derlov
