Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to use two video cards to output a cloning desktop to a monitor and HDTV using different resolutions. I have been looking around and realize it isn't possible to do it with 1 video card. I have a Radeon X1550 and have tried things like Ultramon, but the resolution still isn't right on my monitor and the mouse lags alot on it when its set to a shrunk resolution. I am thinking of installing another Radeon card and using separate cards to control each display. I am running Windows 7 x64. Will Windows detect each video card on its own, and will I be able to control each resolution separately? Thanks

Simple answer: you can't.

Clone desktop really only works if both resolutions are the same. Otherwise the proportions get messed up.
