Series 1 (Phillips) - no audio until I restart

Quite suddenly, I found that programs that supposedly recorded had an
empty progress bar in the bottom (instead of being green) - a few
frames of the video is there, then nothing for the rest of the program.
When trying to figure out what was going on, I tried watching live TV -
TiVo gets no audio, and so I get the blue screen after showing a bit of
silent video.

I fiddled with the input coax, still got nothing, and for grins,
restarted. It then gets audio just fine...for about a week. Then it
happened again just a few days ago. A restart "fixed" it again. Any
ideas of things to try?
