Which Mainboard for Q9400?

Hey Everyone,

I'm still in the process of learning about computer hardware and need some advice. I own an Intel Q9400 2.66Ghz Processor - I want to run DDR3 with it, so what would be the most killer Crossfire ready board by ASUS that I could buy? I'm looking for lots of expansion and overclocking abilities.

All of this will be easily fit into the Antec 1200 as soon as I attain one.

I would also like a layman's explanation of how to decode what the whole Chipset/Socket Type lingo is all about.

check out the asus rampage extreme. if you are going to sli then get one with a ncidia chipset.from what i know, the x48 is the best non-nvidia chipset for 775.

That motherboard is awesome by the way! I think I have met my new motherboard. Also, I'm going to be running a 5870 by itself until I get another one for Crossfire.

Solid setup, make sure you have some good aftermarket cooling and OC that CPU.

Why do you want to run DDR3 with it? It is nothing but a waste of money. The only good thing about going with ddr3 is it can be re-used in the future with a AM3 i7,i5.i3.i9/i whatever system.

Well, when building a computer I find it necessary to plan for the future as much as possible. "Money well spent" ya know? I don't want to keep the Q9400 forever lol. Thanks for the concern though, it's much appreciated.
