I am installing windows 7 on a newly built computer with three hard drives: 60GB SSD, 500 GB & 1TB. I would like to put the OS System on the the SSD also program files if they will fit. Swap Files, & Temp Files on the 500 GB and then use the 1 TB for storage. How do I set that up? Is this a BIOS thing or Windows install Disk? What about multiple page file setup? I am running 16 GB 1600MHZ RAM.

60Gb may be a little too small for a Win 7 install. I don't think you will have much room left for software installs.

I agree with Hawkeye, that's a little too small for a full Windows 7 install.

I just installed Win-7 64 bit Ultimate on an SSD, and with SP-1, all the Windows Updates, a couple small utillity monitoring programs, Office 2010 & the updates, 8GB of 'Documents', & it took 67GB of space. The OS controlled pagefile is 16GB so that could be pared down or put on a separate drive, as could the 'Documents', but that's really tight for other software installs or fun stuff.

Have to remember also it's recommended to keep 10-15% free space for file & OS usage.

So, that's a just completed real world comparison for consideration.
