Can you please help me find a good non-USB card for gaming?

I built a new PC and I can't put my modem in my room because it won't connect for some reason and I don't want to run a wire along my walls to my room. I was wondering how many MBPS I should have for gaming(I play FPS games, and I have Optimum Online. Will a 54MBPS card suffice?) and if you can help me find a card that is NOT USB for under $50? I prefer Newegg.com. Thanks!

That's fine; I decided to get the D-Link DWA-556. Works pretty well for me. Considering I game with it and there's rarely any noticeable lag, I would say that was a good buy at $60.
