Hi,
i just bought an extra pair of ram to increase my current ram to 4gb.
my previous pair was from corsair pc6400 (5-5-5-18) and the new one is kingston pc6400 (5-5-5-15). Pc is booting fine no problem and they are running in dual channel mode. i checked with cpuid and it is showing that both ram are running at 5-5-5-18 frequency. i want to know if there is a way that i can run both of them at 5-5-5-15 at the same time as the corsair isholding the kingston one back.
here are my specs

E8400 CPU
680i SLI Mobo
280GTX 1GIG
SB Audigy
Corsair 650W PSU

cheers

Also If i up the voltage of the ram will it be considered as a OC as i have read that 4GB ram needs more voltage to be stable.

No it is not considered to be an overclock if you increase the voltage. However, if you changed the ram timings, that is considered oc.
And, it is generally not recommended to run different brands of ram that have different default timings. It may or may not work, and it depends on your motherboard. Some mobos allow you to edit the timing of each stick of ram individually, while others do not, and I am unfamiliar with your mobo.

You can always try. Go into the bios and change it to 15. If it works great, if not reset to 18. You can mix and match ram, but it will default to the slowest speeds. This is why its running at 18 and not 15.
