All my pictures have disappeared.

I store many scanned old pictures in "My documents" and suddenly I couldn't bring them back by clicking "Documents" as I used to do. Please help restore my pictures

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Double click on your C:\ drive in My Computer then double click on the Search item in the top pane. In the left hand pane, click on All files and Folders then in the "All or part of the filename" box type *.jpg and hit the Enter key.

Several hundred will show up and many will be part of the operating system but yours will be there too so long as you haven't deleted them them. Finding the name of the folder or folders where they're stored will lead you to them.
