Will GPU Memory have to be identical and what about the clocks? The shaders are also different and how would this work when stream processors will be totslly lopsided. I suppose this will work in DX11? So how would a GTX285 which isnt created for DX11 work with a 5870 or 5850 which was made with DX11 in mind?? So many more questions than answers.... would you buy this if it were 400-500 dollars??

Why would you want to do it. There would really be no reason as you can not get them to run together ie crossfire or sli. Only reason to do this before was physx anda gtx 285 is overkill for that.

You don't understand what he's asking, he's talking about Lucid's Hydra chip that is included on this MSI board, it's supposed to allow you to mix vendors and cards, and it intercepts the driver & API calls and renders from both GPUs.

Google 'Hydra 200' .

Yeah you'd think the few that buy this would see it as a collectors item as I bet it would be scrapped Immediately! Somehow I doubt as early as this October, that pic looked like it was just a prototype or even being tested. It could even be a hoax or whatnot as we havent 'officially' heard from MSi, Nvidia, or even Ati.....
