Crossfire vs single GPU

My current motherboard does not support Crossfire. Also I only have room in my case for up to a 10.5 inch graphics card. Should I buy a crossfire motherboard, or just always get the best single card I can fit?

is there anyway to make room for 11", like taking a dremel to part of the HDD cage and cutting it back a little

well, first of all
what would your budget be for the new motherboard?
and what would your first choices be for the gpu's,
tell us more, including your whole rig
and we'll help you out ^^

Yeah, consider that for the price of replacing the Motherboard, you could possibly replace the whole case.

All the details, including Power Supply.

The 5850 is only 9 inches. (just a thought)
