Universal hard drive dock or adaptor

Hey guys, I'm looking for a hard drive dock or an adapter that will let me plug just about any old notebook and desktop IDE/PATA hardrive into it and even newer sata drives. I found this which looks to be what I need http://www.xpcgear.com/usbdsc5.html but I've never used xPCgear and have no idea if they're any good. Does anyone know or have any other suggestions?
