DOA CPU??

hi got all my parts for my new pc build cpu mother board ram etc etc and plug it all in now when i turn it on there r no beeps and no display to bios.was thinking it could be the cpu?? went got the mother board changed same thing no beeps no display am i correct that it is my cpu thats DOA

A connector or power problem is much more likely than the CPU.

there is power to my unti everything else works it just does not go in to the bios setup

do you get any output to the screen at all? if not, problem could be graphics card. I'd also check that the front panel connectors are in the right places

not output at it has no display the graphics card has been tried in 2 different pcs and it working 100% and panel coonectors are in the corrct spots

Then everything else is not working.

You did not post system specs.

It is probably not the CPU. Most likely culprit is a mistake in assembly. Next most likely is a bad PSU.

System specs-Intel q9400 quad @2.66 - Asus GTX 260 - 4 gig OCZ Gaming ram @ 800 mhz - 650 watt Coolermaster PSU - Gigabyte P43-ud3l Motherboard - WD 808 GIG hdd



Yes it was a mistake in the build? cpu did not lock into place properly Causing "CPU LOCK" pulled cpu out started pc without it to reset back to normal settings placed cpu back in and she booted first go!
