hi, i got the 4870 card, and when i connect to my 450W powersupply the screen goes black and writes
please connect one of your power supply connector

Does your PSU have 2 PCI-e connectors? Did you plug them in?

yes, it came with the gracphics card and i connected it with the psu pin

1. Re-adjust the power plug

2. Test another GPU to see if the plug is working correctly

3. Try a molex adapter if #2 doesn't work

4. If another GPU works, then your current GPU is bad. If another GPU doesn't work then your PSU is bad. If the molex works then that one cable is bad.

I don't think your PSU has enough juice, The minimum wattage for a HD4870 is 500w so your 450w is a little low.

I wouldnt say if another gpu works then your 4870 is bad, might just meen that 1 card uses more power than the other.
