Will my machine boot up

Hi guys,

I have a intel smackover x58so.

I want to know if i install a sata 6gb/s controller will my machine pick up the hard drive and boot to it since i have windows installed on it.

I have the Corsair 120GB Force 3 SDD since my mboard only has sata 2 i cant use the full potential of this drive.

Do you mean you want to install a PCIe based, SATA III 6Gb/s add-on card or do you mean something different?
