This is the first computer I've built and i have no clue whats wrong. I cant get a signal to the monitor for the Bios, everything seems to be getting power and running fine. I haven't heard any beeps for a beep code either. Any ideas???

This is what I have in it. I'm not completely sure of the compatibility of the MB and CPU but others suggested it should be fine.

MB: MSI K9N2 Diamond
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition AM3 CPU
VC: EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked 896MB
RAM: Kingston 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz
HD: WD Caviar 500GB Serial ATA HD 7200/16MB
PS: OCZ 700w GameXStream
CASE: NZXT Tempest Blk ATX Mid Tower Case

You need to be sure to go through every step in the checklist, though. #2 on the checklist is the most common mistake. I'm most worried about #18 on the list in your case. The Phenom II X4 965 doesn't show up at all on the CPU compatibility list:

The Phenom II X4 955 is supported starting with BIOS version 2.4 released on 2009-05-12. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the motherboard can't support the 965 due to its 140W power rating. The 955 is rated at 125W.

If it is a CPU thing would it be likely that they would let me exchange the 965 for a 955.

also for #2 on the list I only plugged in 4 pin and there is a covered slot for 4 more if I add that would it be more likely to handle the 965 CPU.

^^ Why not try the mobo manual to find about the 4+4 pin plug?
