hi all :hello:

as per the tittle suggests, i would like to know when they are going to be in our Australian computer shops, been close to a month now and still nothing and would like to buy one!! :(

I know i can get it off new egg and ebay but still, would be good if i could get one here so that i pay less...

Which part of Australia are you in? In WA, you can get 5000 series in computer stores like MSY, Austin and PLE. For other states, MSY is your best bet.

yeah i go to msy but they dont have it avaliable in adelaide for some reason

There are a few stores with stock, and some even list the 5770 (not available to buy yet though, but at least you have pre-launch prices to look at).

Here's some, but they're not cheap. The high demand and almost non-existent supply is keeping prices high, and the few stores with stock can set the market price.

IJK takes direct deposit/bank transfers. You can use a Debit Card instead of a Credit Card if you have one of those too. (That's what I use).

oh ok cool, still i like to shop like when shopping for fruit, like to pick the best one and stare at it for 3 hours deciding if it is the best one, lol

check statice for the card.
thats what I did. searched for shops in VIC, which has the 5870, then checked their websites to see if they allow pickup.
called them up to confirm stock, went, paid cash and picked up the gigabyte 5870 day before yesterday :)
