Only two issues:
DVDRW reused (not working now all of a sudden, wont open, not recognized by Vista, green power light is on) It worked to install windows, the drivers for the motherboard. After installing updates to vista it stopped working (coincidence?)
Does anyone have any advice for making optical and hard drives quieter (mounting options, damping etc?)
I could use some more case fans too I guess...

Scythe SY124010L free /w bundle (not sure how to use this one yet...)
Used the included thermal compound, OC 3.68 ghz (Turbo, all power saving features enabled) @ 1.354 volts @ 75C prime95, I'm going to drop it back a notch to keep it under 1.35V core.
Windows Vista Home Prem with free win7 64bit upgrade $139
Damn I went a little over budget (grr windows)...
I still need to get some more case fans and mount a second less than ~27dB fan to the CPU heatsink.
Scythe SY1225SL12M 120mm "Slipstream" ?
The loudest thing in my case right now is the hard drive even at 100% processor utilization.
Yep I managed to fit the Mugen 2 in that case, and with the fan mounted blowing air upward through the heatsink it completely exhausts through the rear case fan and the power supply. A second fan on the cpu pointing to the rear and an intake fan would surely drop temps substantially. On the plus side the passive GPU heatsink gets a ton of air blowing across it due to the mounting location of the mugen 2, I'm sure it will overclock much better than an average 4670 with a noisy fan. I'll get some pictures up eventually
More about :920 built dvd drive stopped working quieting hdd
Weird I took the dvdrw drive out, turned it upside down and heard something clanking around, so I opened it with a push pin while upside down and it went "click" Plugged it back in and its working! I bought a new burner for $17 though, oh well, doesn't hurt to have a faster one.
I also keep running into prime95 errors (worker stopped working) in mixed mode when my ram speed gets over about 1100... This is "1600" memory. Any advice? It isn't the voltage for the chip, I tried boosting uncore to 1.3 and ram voltage to 1.64 to no avail.
