why is my hard disk functioning in other machines yet when i bring it in my home computer i receive a display of primary hard disk not installed, no boot device.

why is my hard disk functioning in other machines yet when i bring it in my home computer i receive a display of primary hard disk not installed, no boot device.

Enter setup at startup (f2) and make sure the drive is configured appropriately for IDE or Sata according to what the drive is.
