i dont know if this is the right place to post this but
i have a hp dv9000 laptop and it only show a black screen no back light no nothing
but when i plug my monitor in it work fine
can anyone tell me what the problem is?

well you know the your good up to the video card so it could be, the ribbon cable to the screen, the screen, the backlight, or the brightness turned down(yes I've seen it happen).
