Having an issue...

I installed a new VGA cooler, I "assuming" I have everything hooked up correctly.

The fan spins upon when I control it, however when I monitor it on MSI Afterburner and EVGA Precision, the Fan Tach is at 0.

Also while temps rise during game play, the fans speed moves up however the actual fan does not move any faster unless I do it myself with the controller.

VGA= EVGA GTX 480
VGA Cooler= ZalmanVF300F

Any help please...?

Bump this. I just recently started having an issue where I notice my fan speed is at 100% but the tach is at 0 in MSI Afterburner and no matter how fast I set the fan speed it always sounds the same and my GPU temperatures never change.. My card is the radeon 4890. I was thinking it was the fan and planned on replacing the entire heatsink/fan device along with reapplication of thermal paste on the GPU. This card is about 5 years old.

Thanks!

P.S. My GPU is idle at 47-50* C which kinda makes me uneasy and gets up to 80* C during gaming. I've even seen artifacts and had to restart my computer from this happening.
