Looking for a cpu

Are you putting this in an existing motherboard? If so, what model is it, and what CPU socket? What Power supply do you have?

Are you buying a whole new machine?

that should be good if you have an am3 or socket 775 system.

Intel Core i5 is a probably the best CPU you can get for ~$200, but if you need to put it into an existing system, that won't work too well.
If you have an AM2+ system, you can still use the AMD Phenom II x4 955 or 965. Both are under your price range.

Ok i have a intel board... But I dont think it would fit so do anybody know about a good board at a good price etc,
