I have a problem with a dual monitor configuration over my radeon 4890. I set the dual monitor option as extended mode since my HDTV support only 1920i instead of 1920p as my primary monitor.
Thus I have an extended monitor with two different configs on the two displays:
primary: monitor 1920 at 60hz = 1080p
secondary: tv 1920 at 30ihz = 1080i
after playing for a day with catalyst I was able to have the two images correctly, with an extension of my desktop from my monitor to my tv. I set the theatrical mode which means that when I play a movie in normal window on the pc monitor, the tv should replicate it full screen. That's exactly what happens in a pc of a friend where I set the same configuration.
in my case instead the only way to see something more that just the desktop background on the secondary monitor (my tv) is to drag with the mouse the window which is playing the movie from the monitor to the tv and then put full screen this dragged window. This is not supposed to be, since automatically catalyst should output a full screen on the secondary display of any streaming on the first monitor, if the theatrical version is enabled..
Do anyone ever experienced this problem or have an idea what parameter should I touch in the advanced catalyst?? btw I am running that crap of vista64, so maybe this is the problem?
All drivers and system is up to date.
