hey everyone i am looking to upgrade my pc and would like your reccomendations

my current pc:
coolermaster cosmo s case
intel q9550
asus p5q-e mobo
4 gig kingston ram
corsair 750w psu
ati 4870 x 2 video card


i am looking to upgrade to an i7 now can i get your reccomendation on which cpu and mobo to get the pc is only for gamming i also know i will have to change the memory.

Your system is still good. Not worth upgrading yet.

evongugg is right, when you look to upgrade your pc, you need to figure out where the bottleneck is. In other words what component is causing your computer to drop frames. It looks like it is not necessary to get a new graphics card. So if you want to upgrade, swap out your ram and/or motherboard. evongugg probably threw in the i7 cause it rox sox and would be awesome to have. But i'm not sure that is where your bottleneck is.
