I am looking for new quality gaming headphones below 150$ USD that do not have noise cancellation. The reason being I wish to be able to hear what's going on in the room around me, especially my dog asking for the door!

Right now, my research has taken me to two headsets, the logitech g35 and the Creative Fatality MK2, but both are earmuff designs that seek to minimize ambient sounds.

Does anyone have a solution that fits the description and the bill?

Well, ABS's AZ1 and FX1 (?) seem to be nice. Lightweight usually means less dampening.

Those headsets are also very wallet-friendly.

The Fatality MK2 also won top spot for PC-only gaming on a headset roundup, but noise dampening/cancellation? I don't have a clue. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply.

I've learned that the Tritton AX come with alternative foam ear pieces. Nevertheless, I'm ready to try out the g35 or the Fatality mk2 and see how it goes.
