I don't normally play games but recently became unemployed and have much more free time now. I've found myself wanting to play more games on my
PC.
Now after buying a few older games at a discount, I've found my built-in video drivers are not compatible with these games. I'm a little peaved with HP that the Intel drivers on the board aren't compatible with a game designed in 2007 (Bioshock)
My PC is an HP 2.5Ghz Intel dual core, 5GB memory running Vista Premium 64 SP2. Intel G33/G31 video chipset. 300W PSU.
The only way to play any "normal" video games on this would be to upgrade to a video card but I've noticed that would also require and upgrade of the power supply.
I'd also like to be able to watch TV on my monitor via my U-Verse tv box thru the video card.
Therefore, can someone recommend a few cards that:
- that offer the ability to play games like Bioshock - nothing high end just basic to mid range cards
-and have HD output
- that could work with existing 300W PSU(if not then recommend a reasonbly priced PSU that the card is compatible with)
Thanks for your time and recommendations.
Greg
