im not a guru, but that processor will be a mayor bottleneck for almost every gpu, maybe an ati 4850 (100$)?, try to do an oc of that processor for a better perfomance

yeap please let us know about your mobo, and psu, btw what is your monitor resolution?

maybe the gtx core 216 will be a bit overkill for that cpu

1280x800 screen resolution using -

what is mobo and psu ?? :sarcastic:

u mean gtx core 216 wud be just a waste for me ?

Reply to afta glow

mobo (mother board), psu (powe supply), at that resolution, it will be overkill to buy an gtx core 216, at least thats what i think, cause your processor will be a bottleneck for that card, i think an ati 4850 will be a good choice and only costs around 100$

Reply to chudm

with a better power supply that is your current one should be 250-350 watts i estimate

check this out:

http://www.tomshardware.com/review [...] 74-16.html

but the problem will be i think your power supply, maybe ill be to weak for any good gpu, cause i dont think it has at least 25 amps on the 12v rail (you can check this out, opening the case and checking the table on the power supply), do that and check the watts of the psu, and the amps on the 12v rail!

cause your mobo have an pci xpress x16 slot

its a matter o tastes, cause gts 250 and ati 4850 cost almost the same, and the perfomance its almost equal

if you dont have enough amps on the 12v rail check out what obsidian86 said

works with PCI Express 2.0 x16

and i have pci e 1 x16 i guess :S not an option for me again :(

Reply to afta glow

pci 2.0x16 is backwards compatible with pci x16

so much kind of you both :):):)

stay happy :)

Reply to afta glow

not a problem :), let us know when you have the new hardware and tested it

Reply to chudm

In that price range, it's a rather easy choice if you let me exceed your budget by $9
