Getting a graphic card

so i want to buy a graphic card for my new system.
here is what i have

m4a78 series mother board amd 790GX chipset
amd phenom II 3.1ghz x2 proc black edition
550 W corsair PSU
3gigs DDR3 ram
and i dont know how big it can be because i dont have the biggest case, but its still nice.
windows 7 ultimate
would like to play fallout 3 on high quality (this is recomended: Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512MB RAM (NVIDIA 8800 series, ATI 3800 series)
if you need to know what else just ask
no $$ limit but i dont want to spend to much

I would get the ATI HD5850. But if that is too much money than get the HD4870.

i like the second one better, not as costly, but it seems kinda big. i would like to have some more choices, but this one is surely on my top 5ish list.

9800 GT is overpriced for the performance you get out of it. If you want to pay at that price range look at the 4850.

What resolution are you gaming at? Anything over 19x and you'll want a 4870, or maybe a 4890.

A single 4870 should run fallout 3 on max with no problems.

If you can afford it look at the Evga GTX 275..
