New Computer: RAID1 not showing up

Well, I have 2x identical 1TB SATA HDs on a new build with the OS written onto an SSD drive. I believe I setup correctly the RAID in the BIOS and after installing Windows 7 I used "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" and it seems like everything is working fine. I even 'Verfied' it which took over an hour to complete.

However, when I look in Windows Explorer, I only see my SSD drive and don't see this RAID. I know back in the day I'd have had to formatted the thing for Windows to see it. I'm not sure if I still need to do this? Anyone know what step I'm missing here?

Did you ever get a solution to this question? I have the exact same problem:

Intel Rapid Storage Technology shows my 2x 1TB drives (Raid 1) but Windows explorer and disk management does not.

Thanks
