I was planning on buying a new soundcard, yes; the Asus Xonar DX.
My problem is that i use two graphic cards (in crossfire) and that, i believe, takes much juice out of my power supply.
The Asus Xonar DX needs additional power (4pin i guess) and i dont know if my system will be able to handle that cause i have ABSOLUTELY no idea how much that sound card needs (googled for hours)...
So here is my question.. How many watt's does a sound card like that need? And will it work with my system?
Here are my specs:
Power Supply: OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ600MXSP 600W ATX12V V2.2
CPU: Phenom II x4 955 3.2 BE
RAM: 4GB OCZ Gold edition DDR3
GFX: 2x Gainward 4850 [fabric overvlock]
HDD: 500gb regular Samsung SATA
Drive: LG multi disc cd/dvd
Extra: one 120mm fan for the gpx's, one 80mm fan, and one Freezer XTREME CPU cooler.
Also, you are far overestimating your power consumption.
Using the specs you provide, the eXtreme PSU Calculator recommends a 400w PSU, including the sound card.
You will defiantly be fine with your 600w OCZ PSU.
