hi I purchased a
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66 and would like help picking a good stable middle of the road motherboard and case. I do not game at all. I will be installing windows 7 ultimate. Any suggestions??

Your CPU is not an 1156 pin CPU - it won't fit the 1156 socket. You should be looking at the 775 socket. wow thanks so much. I almost made my first mistake in this new build. I knew I needed 775 but must have gotten turned around looking at so many different motherboards

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

Like a personal advice, you can save your money for a little more and upgrade all your PC, the 775 is a old socket.
