Hi all,

As the title says i have been having a memory issue with my newly built PC. I have installed 6gb of corsair xms3 1600 (3 sticks of 2gb).. In system it says installed memory 6gb (4gb usable).I have run cpu-z and it detects 6bg. I have tried ticking and unticking the maximum memory box in the advanced menu in the boot tab of msconfig and had no luck. . i have searched google and found this problem many times but with other peoples problems they say the bios detects the correct amount of installed RAM.
My bios version F5.

There isn't a memory remapping option in my bios!!!!!!!

Win7 64-bit

I've seen similar articles saying the 2GB are reserved for the OS for more stability. I guess that must what it is.

Also I cleared the cmos and it shows 6GB but then my computer starts freezing and when I reboot it goes back to 4GB. Weird huh?

This fix was on the 2nd page of that post. It's worth a shot.
